The hides we tan are an animal byproduct. Through the tanning process, we transform them into a natural and highly valued raw material for the manufacture of fine, high-quality goods.
With the aim of minimizing the possible environmental impact, we recover and manage some of the waste so that it can be reused in other productive sectors.
For this we have the following permits:
- Non-Hazardous Waste Manager by the Junta de Castilla y León, number GRNPCL 189/09.
- Transport of Non-Hazardous Waste, number 07To2093400011732.
- Environmental Identification (NIMA), with the number 3400011732.
Our company, Curtidos Hijos de Pedro Pérez, has a biological treatment plant for the purification of its wastewater. By-products and packaging are collected by external companies for proper environmental management.
100% Sustainable Vegetable Tanning Process.
We collect animal waste and turn it into a raw material.
The energy used in the vegetable tanning process is 100% renewable, coming from a photovoltaic and thermal panel installation for the production of electricity and hot water, on the same premises owned by the family.
We do not generate toxic waste.
We value the waste generated and deliver it to other companies for reuse.
We comply with the Reach regulations on the use of restricted materials in the leather tanning process.
